Since the enactment of the "Domestic Chemical Products and Biocidal Related Safety Management Law" (referred to as the "Chemical Product Safety Law", Korea K-BPR regulations) in 2018, South Korea has established a preventive management regulatory system including safety verification of domestic chemical products, pre-registration of biocidal agents, and risk assessment.
The main purpose of K-BPR regulations in South Korea is to contribute to the development of public safety through the safety control of domestic chemical products, as well as the compliance of biocidal active substances, products and treatment products, to protect human health and environmental safety.
1, registration scope:
Listed in Korea K-BPR safety confirmation object Household chemical products: cleaning products, washing products, coating products, adhesive connection products, aromatic deodorization products, dyeing products, automotive products, printing products, beauty products, sterilization products, removal products, anti-corrosion and anti-corrosion treatment products
Biocidal products included in Korea K-BPR regulations: disinfectants, removers, preservatives, etc2. Registration subject:
Domestic production enterprises/import enterprises directly declare;
When reporting exports to Korea, foreign enterprises must appoint agents (OR) in Korea;
3, registration type:If it belongs to one of the 13 product types of daily chemical products stipulated by Korean K-BPR regulations, it is necessary to carry out safety standard verification in accordance with Korean K-BPR regulations; If the product standard has not yet been published, a safety declaration should be carried out.
If it belongs to one of the 15 product types of biocides stipulated by Korean K-BPR regulations, it is necessary to carry out pre-registration, active substance approval, product authorization and compliance of processed items in accordance with Korean K-BPR regulations.
