Project Introduction
EcoVadis certification originated in France in 2007 and is a system platform built based on cloud SaaS data platforms applied to various international supply chain management organizations. Covering all corporate social responsibility corporate governance projects except for quality. EcoVadis is an online non-financial corporate social responsibility management system that conducts comprehensive evaluations through online submission of information based on different sizes and industry affiliations of the enterprise. Its certification is valid for 12 months and undergoes an annual reassessment. At present, procurement teams of over 600 large multinational companies have used EcoVadis rating results in their daily procurement decisions
EcoVadis aims to leverage the impact of global supply chains to improve a company's environmental and social practice performance. It combines all organizational governance projects of enterprise operation except for quality, and conducts comprehensive evaluation through online submission of materials based on different scales and industry affiliations of the enterprise. The company's procurement manager can easily utilize a concise dynamic scorecard to help them monitor and manage their supplier's corporate social responsibility (CSR) performance and whether it has been continuously improved and improved. The evaluation system mainly revolves around four aspects: company environment, labor and human rights, business ethics, and sustainable procurement.
EcoVadis Review project
The EcoVadis audit project covers 21 standards covering 4 major themes: environment, labor and human rights, business ethics, and sustainable procurement (with a total of 360 evaluation questions in each of the four sections), aiming to gain a clear understanding of the implementation performance of corporate social responsibility.
EcoVadis rating indicator system
The scorecard standards released from January 1, 2023 are as follows:
■ Platinum: Top 1% (total score between 78-100) ■ Silver medal: Top 25% (total score between 59 and 69)
■ Gold Medal: Top 5% (total score between 70-77 points) ■ Bronze medal: Top 50% (total score between 50-58 points)* If the total score is less than 50 points, or if one of the themes in the environment, labor and human rights, or business ethics scores less than 30 points, or if the sustainability theme score is less than 25 points, no medal will be awarded.
* The percentage ranking is calculated by all industries and companies, not by industry。
Compared to the regulations in 2022, the rating for 2023 has increased again and may continue to increase year by year. For enterprises, continuous improvement is necessary。

In addition to meeting the above conditions, the scorecard must also meet the following requirements in order to win a medal:
The evaluated company is not allowed to engage in the following industries：
Manufacturing of tobacco products (ISIC code 1200),
Mining of coal and lignite (ISIC 05 category),
Production of weapons and ammunition (ISIC code 2520),
Production of aerospace vehicles and related machinery (ISIC code 3030)
The scorecard does not include the following negative 360 ° observations for each topic:
Any serious (SEV) results
More than 1 major (MAJ) result in at least 2 themes
Any single topic with more than 5 major (MAJ) outcomes is considered as 1 serious outcome
Any single topic with more than 25 minor (MIN) results is considered as 1 serious result
Among 2 or more topics, each topic with at least 5 minor (MIN) results is considered as 1 major result
The 360 ° observation results reviewed the themes of environment, labor and human rights, and sustainable procurement, as well as the past 3 years and the past 5 years of business ethics.
