The pesticides sold and used in the United States are strictly controlled by the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA) and relevant state regulations. This bill is the Federal Pesticide Administration Act, which sets out the requirements for pesticide registration in the United States. All pesticides distributed, sold, and used in the United States must first be registered under FIFRA.
The Environmental Protection Agency is responsible for managing pesticide registration. If a pesticide product is exported to the United States and used within the United States, except for some products exempted from registration determined by the US EPA, all other products need to be registered in accordance with Article 136 of FIFRA before they can be exported to the United States.

ANTIMICROBIAL PESTICIDES
Antibacterial insecticides are substances or mixtures of substances aimed at destroying or inhibiting the growth of harmful microorganisms, as well as insecticides that can protect inanimate objects and surfaces from biological invasion such as bacteria, viruses, or fungi.

BIOPESTICIDES
Biopesticides include natural substances for controlling pests (biochemical insecticides), microorganisms for controlling pests (microbial insecticides), and insecticidal materials containing genetic material.

CHEMICAL PESTICIDES
Conventional pesticides are usually synthetic chemicals mainly used to kill insects, weeds, and fungi.

INERT INGREDIENTS
In addition to active ingredients, most pesticide products also contain substances called "inert ingredients" or "other ingredients". Inert ingredients are usually any substance other than the active ingredients contained in pesticide products
Registration subject
• Pesticide manufacturers, traders, distributors, and even pesticide users can apply for US EPA pesticide registration.
• According to the US EPA regulations, companies applying for a company number must be located within the United States.

EPA pesticide registration type
1、"New chemical drugs" or "new active ingredients" refer to pesticide registration applications for a product that currently does not contain any pesticide active ingredients in any other registered pesticide products.
2、New use refers to adding a use to a previously registered active ingredient, where the requested use is currently not included in the labeling instructions for any product containing that active ingredient.
3、"Same/Basically Similar Product" ("Me Too") Pesticide registration application refers to the request to register a new pesticide product, which is:
1）Same purpose and formula;
2）Its use and formula are basically similar to one or more products currently registered and sold in the United States;
3) The only difference is that it does not significantly increase the risk of causing unreasonable adverse effects on the environment.
