OBP Certification Scheme is sponsored by ngos “ Zero plastic oceans ” Developed by the Peterson Control Alliance with the aim of protecting the ocean from the ongoing leakage of Marine attached plastics (OBP) from land-based activities. The OBP certification program is designed to encourage the removal of Marine plastics from the environment by adding value to the efficient collection and disposal of these plastics. The scheme consists of two subroutines :A. Ocean plastic recycling subroutine B. Ocean plastic neutral subroutine. When OBP is commercially recyclable, its collection and recycling can be encouraged by proving its provenance and traceability, giving it a higher market value. The model is certified using the OBP Recycling Organization Standard and the OBP Recycling Organization Standard for OBP recycling subroutines.
The cost consists of two elements: 1, inspection and certification fee 2, OBP
Fee inspection and certification fee: The specific fee varies according to the human resources/hours CB needs to invest in order to verify the organization's compliance with specific standards, which in turn vary depending on project location, size, complexity, etc. Costs for each organization will be determined on a case-by-case basis and agencies will prepare proposals for each organization prior to the audit. Inspection and certification costs are handled by CB directly and independently of the organization.
OBP Fees: Includes the cost of the non-profit Zero Plastic Ocean Organization to maintain, support, develop, update and direct the entire OBP certification program. A fixed fee structure for each year. This fee will be charged by CB on behalf of ZPO ', together with their inspection and certification fee, clearly identified on the invoice. Customs may not charge any commission on this fee, but if applicable, Customs will add any legally required sales tax to this fee.
