KKDIK (Turkey REACH)
Project Introduction
KKDIK, also known as Türkiye REACH, was issued, implemented and supervised by the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization of Türkiye (MoEU) on June 23, 2017. The full name of the regulation is the regulation on chemical registration, assessment, authorization and restriction. The KKDIK regulation officially came into effect on December 23, 2017. The KKDIK regulation is similar to the EU REACH regulation in many places, so it is also known as the Turkey REACH.
According to Türkiye's KKDIK regulations, enterprises need to submit a register to the Ministry of Cities, Climate Change and Environmental Protection of Türkiye (MoEUCC) for the chemical substances (substances themselves, substances in mixtures or substances intentionally released in articles) with an annual output or import volume of more than or equal to 1 ton in Türkiye, otherwise enterprises will not continue to manufacture, import or sell the chemicals in Türkiye. In addition, enterprises also need to fulfill their regulatory obligations of evaluation, authorization, and restriction.

Pre registration provides information
- • Material identification information (such as substance name, EC number, CAS number, structural formula, etc.)
- • Enterprise information, indicating the identity of the enterprise (such as Only Representative, importer, manufacturer). For Chinese enterprises, if they entrust Only Representative to do so, the pre registration of enterprise information, which provides only Representative information, was originally scheduled to end on December 31, 2020, but has now been extended to December 31, 2023. Enterprises that have not completed pre registration after the deadline need to complete formal registration in order to trade normally!
