Project Introduction
Pesticide registration is the basic system of pesticide management in China, and it is also a common and effective practice for managing pesticides internationally. According to the relevant provisions of the Pesticide Management Regulations, the country implements a pesticide registration system. The applicant for pesticide registration should be a pesticide production enterprise, a new pesticide developer, or an enterprise exporting pesticides to China. The applicant shall complete the corresponding pesticide registration tests specified in the "Requirements for Pesticide Registration Data". In addition, the applicant's application for pesticide registration must pass the initial review by the provincial pesticide testing institution, then be reviewed by the pesticide testing institution of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, and reviewed by the Pesticide Registration Review Committee in order to obtain the pesticide registration certificate

Applicant's requirements
● Pesticide production enterprises refer to domestic enterprises that have obtained pesticide production licenses。
● Enterprises exporting pesticides to China refer to those that export pesticides produced overseas to China。
● New pesticide developers refer to Chinese citizens, legal persons, or other organizations that develop new pesticides within the territory of China。

The Pesticide Testing Institute (ICAMA) of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs (MARA) is responsible for the specific work of national pesticide registration.

Registration of raw materials
New pesticide raw materials (mother drug), identical raw materials (mother drug), non identical raw materials (mother drug)

Preparation registration
New pesticide formulations, new dosage forms, new content, new mixed formulations, new scope of use, new methods of use, same formulations, similar formulations

Change registration
Expanding the scope of use, changing the method of use, increasing the dosage, reducing the dosage, changing the quality specifications or composition of the raw material (mother drug), changing the quality specifications or composition of the formulation, and changing the toxicity level. The requirements for pesticide registration information depend on the product category and registration type.
Registration Information Requirements：
The applicant shall submit pesticide registration application materials to the agricultural department based on the category of pesticide products applied for registration. The materials generally include test reports on product chemistry, toxicology, environmental impact, efficacy, residues, risk assessment reports, sample labels or instructions, product safety data sheets, relevant literature materials, application forms, applicant qualification certificates, and statements of authenticity of the materials.
