What is Ecovadis certification?

EcoVadis certification is from France, is based on the cloud SaaS data platform applied to international supply chain management organizations and built a system platform. Covers all corporate social responsibility corporate governance programs except quality. EcoVadis is a non-financial corporate social responsibility management system that covers a wide range of businesses. 2. EcoVadis Evaluation Process

EcoVadis evaluation is divided into four stages: registration, questionnaire, expert analysis and results.

1, registration

If a company is invited by a customer to participate in an EcoVadis evaluation, the company must follow the link provided in the invitation email to register, so that the customer will be informed of the progress of the company's evaluation, and the company's evaluation results will be automatically shared with them after the evaluation is completed. If a business has not yet received an EcoVadis registration email, but wishes to be evaluated at the request of a customer or due to internal enterprise needs, it must register on the EcoVadis platform itself. During the registration process of the EcoVadis platform, companies are required to provide general information about the company, including the name of the legal entity, the country and region, the size of the company and the industry. Based on this information, the EcoVadis platform will prepare customized questionnaires for businesses.

2. Questionnaire

When EcoVadis receives and processes a company's registration request, the company will receive an automatic notification containing the company's username and a link to create a password to access the EcoVadis platform, and then the company can complete the CSR questionnaire online. Enterprises need to provide supporting documents when filling out questionnaires. All documents provided will be treated as confidential and will not be shared with business partners by default. The completion time depends on the maturity level of corporate social responsibility performance, and whether all the information required for audit (including documents and records) is available.

3. Expert Analysis

After the enterprise submits the questionnaire and supporting documents, the CSR analysts of the EcoVadis platform will evaluate the enterprise's answers and supporting documents. EcoVadis experts rely on international standards such as ISO 26000 and the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), Global Compact Guidelines, which can take six to eight weeks, depending on the complexity of the submission and the number of documents submitted.

4. Result

When the company's scorecard is published, the company will receive an email notification, and the company can log in to the EcoVadis platform account password to view the analysis results and scorecard. If a company is evaluated at the customer's invitation, the company's scorecard will be shared with the customer immediately. As long as the scorecard is valid, subsequent sharing requests can be implemented through the platform. It should be noted that the Scorecard is valid for 12 months from the date of issue, after which the company will need to re-apply for the evaluation.
