The main uses of triphenyl phosphate are flame retardants, plasticisers, softeners for synthetic rubber, synthetic resins, etc. At the meeting held from June 11 to 13, 2024, because the leading registrant of triphenyl phosphate (TPhP) provided a large amount of new information about the substance a few days before the meeting, in order to ensure The newly provided data can be properly evaluated and considered in the SVHC identification process, and the European Chemicals Agency has suspended the identification procedure for the SVHC candidate of the substance.
 
After several months of evaluation, the meeting finally agreed to include triphenyl phosphate in the candidate list, and ECHA will officially add the substance to the candidate list of high-attent substances in early November.
