On June 29, 2023, Shanxi Provincial Drug Administration issued the "Measures for the Supervision and Management of Cosmetic Business Classification" and the "Measures for the Management of Cosmetic Production Quality and Safety Risk classification", which divided the risk levels of cosmetic production enterprises and cosmetic operators, and gave the assessment method and classification supervision measures. Both Measures will come into force on January 1, 2024.

Collection of revisions to Technical Specifications for Cosmetic Safety

On July 14, 2023, the China Institute of Food and Drug Control organized and determined the revision project of the standard system such as the "Technical Specification for Cosmetic Safety" and the general rules of physical and chemical inspection methods, and publicly solicited project undertaking units. Code for Stability Test of Cosmetics Implementation of group standard

On July 18, 2023, Guangdong Cosmetic Quality Management Association officially issued the "Cosmetic Stability Test Code" group standard, which puts forward the requirements and evaluation methods for the stability test of new raw materials and the stability test of products. Pudong will implement on-site personalized service management of cosmetics

On July 15, 2023, in order to standardize the on-site personalized service of cosmetics in Shanghai Pudong New Area, the Shanghai Municipal Drug Administration issued the "Regulations for the Management of on-site personalized Service of Cosmetics in Shanghai Pudong New Area (Trial)", which proposed management rules for on-site personalized service licensing and product filing, institutions and personnel, and service processes.

These Rules shall come into force on August 20, 2023 and shall remain valid for two years until August 19, 2025.
